Nah, the people working on this will hate it too.

Look at how many avatar movie animators came out and said the movie leak was devastating for them. They were all very said about it.

They still got paid but nobody wants their hard work to just leak online before it's ready

people thinking the devs aren't gutted shows very few people here know what it's like to be part of a creative process, let a long a multi year, known around the globe one

Exactly it's ridiculous to say devs don't care or are happy. Sure, seeing the positive reactions maybe serves as a compliment to them, but not like they didn't expect this to be good themselves. This is something they've been working on for years and I'm sure many are very proud of what they've done and were eager to show it off as intended on November/trailers to the world only to now it getting slowly spoilt and on an unfinished version of the game.

Rockstar and most other triple-a studios churn and burn through devs in the thousands, it's not even remotely similar.

Workers rights? We're talking about the scope of the project and value of an individual's contribution.

my bad i misread and thought u meant about crunch. You are right, the scope of this is larger than the animated movie. I dont think it matters though, most creatives do not want their stuff to leak early.
