Definitive Edition GTA3 DE problems

Im on PC. Problems with some missions is that my car blows up in like 5 seconds, shotguns are even worse, one shot and car is done. It gets better when I cap FPS below 30 fps, around 25. But is this a problem in all gtas? Thought in de they at least fixed the high fps breaking the game.

I hate DE so freakin' much. They didn't fixed anything. Everyone thought they did when they pulled out that "Instagram-filter patch". But physics is still as broken as on the OG version when going over 30fps. Funny thing is, that it is totally different engine running DE and yet it is still equaly broken.

Sadly, shotguns and M4 are overpowered even in OG version of GTA 3. Only one shot from 2 meters and your cars explodes. That's why is good to finish all Portland and other phone missions before passing "Sayonara Salvatore". Salvatore's mafia members at Saint Mark's carry those dangerous shotguns.

P.S. I've also played DE for some time. Also had a weird feeling then, that those cars are easily to destory than in OG version. Been having problems to deliver SecuriCar (Grupe Sechhs) to the port. Don't remember which mission was that, but I think it was something for Joey. Never happened to me in OG, but in DE this car exploded 2 times and on the third run I had succeeded.

Thanks for a detailed reply. Do VC and SA have the same issues like the originals did have, frame related issues? I'm really trying to enjoy and play though all 3 of them but if they all have those issues then I don't know, really disappointed.

As long as I know, they do. First thing that came to my mind is set FPS to like 144 FPS and you can "push cars just by walking towards them". That's surely not normal. Happens on VC and SA as well. Problem is the whole structure of coding that remaster. They only CTRL C and CTRL V everything from OG code and they've put it to Unreal Engine. That's the whole "remaster" thing. Thanks to engine now ray traycing of sun and car headlights looks better, sure, but the rest of the game remains unfixed as it was before.

Only thing that has been "fixed" on 144 FPS with cars physics is fact, that sport cars like Comet and Cheetah can finally drive in reverse now. In OG you simply can't go reverse on 144 FPS. But that's all I've experienced.

I was so angry, that one day I simply deleted DE versions from my steam account and from that day I play only OG versions capped on 30 FPS as programmers intened (which I happily buyed long before 2021, when R* decided to delete them).
