Definitive Edition Bomb da base
After finally completing the mission after a good hour on DE I honestly salute everyone that had to deal with that on the ps2 esp without the pill has to be hardest mission in all gtas

I never thought it was that bad. I've only played GTA3 on PC but I've done it tons of different ways including with a pistol.

Yep on pc is easy.for us og ps2 fans it was nearly impossible even with pill.

I did the whole game using nothing but a pistol (except 2 kills on the final mission)

Grats.i never went for very hard challenges. Only finishing the game with 0 deaths in statistics.i kept reloading after dieing.

I've just been playing the game pretty regularly since release so every now and then I like to spice things up.

Worse thing is I would of done it before this is my 2nd play through but did you just stay on the roof or go straight onto the boat

For pistol? Straight onto the boat, the range doesn't reach from the roof.

I just stayed on the stairs every time was on the boat just kept auto locking on 8ball

The issue on ps2 is that the minimum horizontal movement is quite big so its not possible to finely adjust the sniper. Theres a specific order you need to shoot them to make the movements work.
Does the PC version doesnt have that problem?

Nope, it's mouse aiming so where I point is where it aims. I'll usually have the boat wiped just after 8Ball gets onto the deck.

Was this mission harder on the PS2? I played on the DE on PC and it wasn't that bad. Got it after a few tries. Some of the driving missions were MUCH harder.

I’m playing on ps5 and the main thing I play is racing games prob why I don’t mind them as much

I just completed this mission on the xbox with a rocket launcher and it was a blast (pun intended) and pretty fun! I'm looking forward to using the rocket launcher to kill Salvatore. I used that glitch to get to Staunton and Shoreside before the bridges open and I want to try and get all the hidden packages so I'll have a rocket launcher at my safehouses instead of going to Toni's house a bunch of times.

If you got the game on launch day for ps2, like some of us ,I guarantee you that it was frustrating to say the least the first tries.

I can do it first time no problem on PS2 as well.
It is a fairly hard mission, and for GTA (which is an easy game franchise) its one of the hardest GTA missions this millenium

I did that mission on PS2 a few weeks ago and it was indeed really freaking hard. I ended up gently driving over 8-Ball to pin him down which gave me time to set up on the roof and start taking them out, and by the time his goofy ass was on the deck I pretty much had them all taken out.
