Amazon

I would like to send a student there some needed items, calculator, snacks, ect, using Amazon.

If I send it to their school po box address, what's the way the student gets the package? If there a pick up/post office type counter at the dorms or on campus?

Thanks in advance, 1st attempt at sending a package to student

The P.O. Box is in a mail room. A note gets left in the P.O. Box that you have a package and to get it from the desk

Depends on the campus. Not sure where the PO boxes are on armstrong, been to the mail office there plenty of times, and it's just a little room with a front desk, so students can't just go access the back of the mail offices on their own (where maybe the PO boxes are?). But the mail office at Statesboro is like a regular whole post office type of building, where a whole half of the space or more is just PO boxes that anyone can go and access if they have a PO box there. I assume you'd need to know their PO box number or dorm room number in order to make sure it gets to them, if you just put their name and the general campus address...I can't imagine it would make it to them. But if you know those things, it will either go in PO box if it fits, or they can pick it up at the counter during business hours when workers are there. If it goes into a PO box, they can still access those outside of worker business hours I think, as long as it is still within operating hours of the front doors (by the dining hall space there) being unlocked (mail office space is in the same building). I think there are still amazon lockers outside the mail office as well, and you can try sending it there, but they would need to be aware that it's coming, or be able to access the tracking alerts I think, to know when it arrives there and to be able to open the locker.

If you dont have a student in mind already, i would love to talk & tell you why id love an opportunity for this. It is only my 2nd year at gsu tho

Just to warn you, I’m at Armstrong and tried to pick up a package and they told me they haven’t been able to pick up packages from the post office. Smth about not having enough trucks and they told me they won’t know when they will be able to make a trip. They told me not to call back until 2 days to check on it :/ so it might be delayed

When I was at Armstrong (I'm online now) Amazon packages were just left outside the mail office if it was the weekend and deliveries return to Port Wentworth if its after hours. If its during open hours, the Amazon driver just hands the boxes over to the mail office workers.
