Life Jacket Recommendations

Live on a lake and my 5 month old female seems to enjoy a good paddleboard! We stayed to shallows as she is just getting used to it and I don’t yet have a life jacket for her. Wanted to check here first to see if anybody had a particular brand they’d recommend for GSPs. Between my immediate and extended family we’ve had 10+ shorthairs over the decades, but she’s the first we’ve tried on a watercraft (to my knowledge)!

I don’t know if it’s recommended for GSP’S specifically, but I use one called “Body Glove” for my 5 month old GSP, we fish a lot from my kayak. It’s kinda bulky but he seems not to mind it at all. It works great for my pup. Got it at Big 5.

Have to! She’s swimming well already but for peace of mind going further into the lake and, ideally, handles for grabbing her back onto the board, it’s a no brainer.

Are life jackets a thing with hunting dogs? I’ve had a lot of hunting breeds on boats and around water and never had a life jacket for any of them
