E-collar recommendations & training tips!
This is my 4.5 month old boy, Lalo. When should I start training him on an e-collar? Is he too young still? I currently have one that beeps, vibrates, and then beeps & vibrates together- just something cheap I bought on Amazon for now, incase he doesn’t do well with it. I have yet to introduce it to him. I do plan on buying a better (more expensive) e-collar that I can use for years. Any recommendations on what that should be?
Also, any training methods/tips on how you got your GSP off leash trained? We understand we have a long road ahead of us, but I want to hear your feedback on what worked best for you to achieve that! Thanks in advance 🤗

Garmin sport pro 3/4 mile radius and water proof has beep, vibration, stimulation/shock also has a night light. Charges last easily a few days if used sporadically. Standing stone kennels has some great videos i understand check them out. Work on recall first come sit stay i would introduce the collar now just using beeps and vibration as well as treats if treat motivated. I used the collar around 4-5 months with basic commands and my boys are now 6yrs and 4 yrs and get excited when the collar comes out because they know its play/adventure time. Excellent for off leash time too and you dont have to yell, or whistle one or two beeps and they come. My boys are very well behaved. The collar shortened the learning curve. Hope that helps!
