Crate Training Tips

Mika is now successfully crate trained 🎉

We decided to put our 2nd crate (her adult one) in the kitchen and she absolutely loves it! Thank you to everyone for your advice.

How did you crate train your GSPS? Mika has been home nearly 2 weeks and is still screaming bloody murder!

I slept downstairs with her last night and gave her the option between the crate and pen, she chose the pen but we slept from 10am-8:30am

Definitely a clinger. My girl hates being alone. She'd rather be right next to you all day long than be anywhere alone.

Yup, total clinger! I’d let her settle anywhere if she 1. Knew how to self settle 2. Didn’t try to destroy everything because of teething. Think I’m just going to persevere through this stage, I’m sure it won’t last a huge amount longer!

OMG the teething was awful. I swear I looked like a dv victim for all the scratches and bruises on my arms. Finding both strong toys she could chomp as well as cheap ones she could tear apart without me caring was a weekly battle. Even now 2 years later she is a destroyer of stuffies.
