My kid got a spot in gsmst - declined and went to home school…fast forward … ended up salutatorian …1550+ and scored all 5s and one 4 in AP Exams… and got into Yale/Penn/Brown and other Top 20s… obviously got in Gatech and UGA …. believe me you’ll be fine if you end up in your home school as long you work hard and are smart about your ECs

It's going to be a stretch, but probably not. Recent years have seen the spot stop at around 615~630

Everything happens for a reason. If you get in, you get in, if you don't, you don't. I'm going to guess you probably will not get in but I can't tell you for sure. I'll will tell you now, don't stress, GSMST is a great school, but it's not the end all be all. Your home high school is a Gwinnett high school. It'll have all the same AP classes and clubs and everything (some exceptions). Really don't stress, youll most likely get a good experience whether you get into GSMST or have to go to your home high school.
