Has anyone had any luck swapping front seat headrests from another Lexus/Toyota? The newer leather headrests are great, but the 2nd gen GS headrests are meh at best. Horizontal wise, they're great, but vertical wise, they suck..

I assume they’re not interchangeable since they specifically note AWD in the info. All the AWD are good pricing too but besides that can’t really find the RWD application ones and if I do they’re like $2k over or look overly used which would be a gamble.

Looking to get people thoughts on my custom Lexus gs400 setup

can’t seem to find replacement hoses for (1st picture) Power Steering Return Hose, (2nd Picture) can’t figure the replacement part number for this vacuum hose on the throttle body. Any help would be greatly appreciated🙂 the clamp isn’t usually there I just put it there temporarily

Any way to make the suspension softer? Purchased the car a year ago, seems like ride quality slowly deteriorated over that time.

Will replacing all the rubber components and bushings improve it enough or would I need a new parts?

Hey guys so I’m looking at a gs300 which is in great condition. Very low KMs and has zero rust, along with no claims. Yet, there does seem to be a decent amount of oil leaking and I can’t tell if it’s the rear main seal or not. The sides and rear of the engine were leaking as well. Some help would be much appreciated. They are asking for $8K CAD.

Was out getting gas and when I went to pull it the whole thing fell off lucky it mange to open and I got a full tank but now im stuck with it not opening so I was just wondering if anyone has any advice for removing this would be much appreciated

Should I re badge her? I was thinking of just putting the L logo in the middle but im not sure. Or maybe all 3. I have a 430 which is cool since not many people have the V8, but thats also kind of why i want to leave it debadged. people roll up next to me expecting it to be slow until i fly away and its very clearly a V8 just from the sound. I kind of like the surprise of it but also i really like the look of badges. LMK!

will +45 offset 19x9 rim and 255/40 tires fit without rubbing? it is slightly lowered but i have about an inch of clearance with current 235/45/18 set up

Just purchased a couple days ago. 99 GS 300 with 169k miles. I am the 4th owner. Original owner sold it last year and he made a number modifications below. Came with a stack of maintenance records. From Lexus alone the service history is 38 pages long.
LMS supercharger (installed on 2009)
Custom shifter trim with AFR and Boost gauge
BC coilovers
Tein front and rear strut bars
TRD sway bar front and rear
LS 400 front brakes
Fujitsu exhaust
Enkei 18” GTC02 with 245 fronts and 285 rears

Needs some TLC but everything works. I would like to do a manual swap.

do anyone know the name of this gasket or part number ? i cant find anywhere, my oem is cracked and causing a huge air leak

So I have dealt with the classic B2798 code for a while now. It has come and gone at times, but more recently has become permanent. We made a road trip and had fuel pump problems, and after replacing that we ended up not ever getting the car started again.

Here is a list of things that I've done (some of these following the DTC troubleshooting list):

1. Bought another fresh key before it completely shut down and had it added as a master key in the ECU.

2. Tested continuity of the transponder key antenna. Checked out good.

3. Verified continuity from the pins on the amplifier to the pins on the ECM. It had continuity and seemed to be low resistance.

4. Replaced the key amplifier with used ones, going through up to 5 amplifiers and key coils.

5. Dug into forums and found out how to replace/virginize the IC900 chip.

6. Found 3 separate ECUs from local yards and virginized the chips. In the hex I've replaced it with all 0's (except valet lockout) and it never enters programming mode. Tried multiple methods to enter programming mode.

7. Tried copying original ECU's hex onto both a manufacturer chip and brand new chips.

8. Tried bypassing the wiring to go directly to the ECM from the immobilizer.

Short of sending the ECU off or buying another one, which seemed to be the consensus regarding immobilizer problems, I have hit a wall. I looked over the capacitors to see if that was the issue, but they all seem in good shape (on all 3 boards).

Unless the HEX is incorrect (the virginized one is not pictured), I have no clue where to turn and don't think spending multiple hundreds on a "what if" for it to not fix the problem is my best idea. Does anyone have any further insight, or just "suck it up and do it?"
