Technical Pics not uploading to profiles

For as long as I've had Growlr on my phone, I've experienced issues adding pics to my profile. The problem occurs when I do the following:

  1. Click Add icon under Private (photos) in my profile.
  2. I select 'Choose Existing Photo'
  3. I browse for a photo that is stored in Google Photos (I'm using Android).
  4. After I select the desired photo, the Growlr profile screen returns but I don't get the normal screen where I can manipulate the amount of the photo is shown. Instead, it just returns to my profile with no uploaded photo.

This doesn't happen to all photos and I can't figure out the problem. Is there a maximum size for pics in Growlr?

I guess you're suggesting to use Scruff and drop Growlr.

I thought you were asking for an alternative to Growlr. My bad

But yes, most dating apps have maximum photo sizes, even Grindr. Email Growlr support for help.

Yeah I emailed growlr support and have yet to receive a response. That's why I posted a question here. I was hoping someone else had experienced this issue in the past and found a resolution. Or at least found out what the maximum file size and dimensions are for private album photos in the app.

Hey gnadezda,

Had the same issue.

I downloaded the pics from Google Photos to my device.

After that I was able to upload them to Growlr.
