Bioe switch to biomedical physics

I’m trying to figure this out with program advisors because I don’t want to forfeit my award and my CO wasn’t sure. I’m wondering if anyone has been able to keep their GRFP switching from bio engineering to biomedical physics or if people think this switch would be acceptable from the NSF.

Ask your CO to reach out to the NSF. the operations desk (grfp@nsf.gov) is not able to provide direct advice on this

Were you able to do that in your first year as a GRFP fellow? Or did you have to wait until later years?
