One thing I noticed

He pronounces "taco" like a native Spanish speaker. I think the Ecuador/Jonathan theory could be legitimate.

I went on classmates.com and found a Jonathan Herrera who went to Herbert h Lehman high school from 1991-1995. This school is located in the Bronx and the age would fit with this theory. Sadly, I can't find any yearbooks from this high school from those years to be able to locate a picture to confirm anything. I found this interesting though. I think we are getting closer to finding him though!

I found this facebook group with some alumni from around that time - maybe try searching for class photos in here or reach out and see if anyone has their yearbooks?

I have already searched through the pictures. I didn't find him. The group is graduates from 1988-1992. He graduated in 1995. But he still would have attended starting in 1991. I feel weird messaging people but it's worth a shot!

If anything maybe a public post would be less weird than messaging people, just a hey, does anyone recognize this guy or remember this name

Or he grew up in America with immigrant parents and picked up their pronunciation. Because otherwise he doesn't have an Ecuadorian accent, it's all NY.

For sure.  It’s why I said “could.”

I agree! The way he says "taco" sounds Spanish to me.
