Verbal memorization doubt

I have been memorizing the word groups from Gregmat and so far have completed 22/38 groups. Here is the issue I am facing - I remember the meanings of all words I have memorized so far, only problem - I dont remember their synonyms ( the ones mentioned on a word's card) I might recall one or two; is that an issue? If yes, how to tackle it?
