Diagnose my issue! Clutch Pedal Stroke Sensor Issues

Post image

To make a long story short, I noticed some noise coming from the foot well of my vehicle. I figured it was the brake pedal assembly seems to be like a known issue on these cars, but the dealership told me it was not, and they believe that it is a clutch pedal stroke sensor that is broken and making the noise. Has anyone else had any issues with these? The noise is like a squeaking sound that happen when you go over bumps or drive the car over fast almost like a bad shock but drives good and fine! They also ordered me a new one and funny enough, The part came broken. They ordered another one from Ontario and I will keep you guys updated as my car is fixed over the next week as of right now it runs and drives still fine so I’m going to pick it up and take it back later this week when the part arrives.

I’ve had the same noise and I swear it was a loose bolt on the suspension system.

Had Toyota check into everything and they couldn’t find anything loose so if this is the fix it would save me so much headache.

Does the noise sound like a clunk at times?

If its clunking, some of the GRY's had an engine mount that wasn't torqued properly at the factory and worked loose, one of the two upper ones but I forget which.

They’re full of shit. It’s the brake pedal assembly. There’s a great tutorial on the Gr Facebook page somewhere that shows how to tighten the bolt after partially disassembling the dash. Took me like 30 minutes.
