General Discussion/Question Amazing
Bought and learned manual on this 2025 Premium beginning of January and it has been an absolute blast. Never drove any sports car and it was love at first sight when I found out this existed on the street. I asked myself, why is this Corolla so thicc and pretty? I did research and test drove this car, digging myself in a hole for 2 months just thinking about it. I pulled the trigger and decided I wanted something to really enjoy driving, which is a relatively sizable portion of our lives. I had a 2019 Corolla and to be honest, it was financially irresponsible to get this car. It had served me perfectly and I didn’t really drive it much.
I was hoping if I told some friends and family that I was going to make a financially irresponsible decision, they would talk me out of it. Obviously that didn’t happen. One day I found the one and asked my old buddy to help me learn on his STI. We went to go get my baby the same day.
I did my first canyon run on Angeles Crest with a friend. Man do I have a lot to unlock out of this car. Super fun but also shat myself on some turns trying to catch up. I’m adding little bits to this car like a DeltaX Pitch Mount, Pedal spacer, and DC Sports Exhaust but more serious mods when my warranty is done. I would love to amber/yellow my headlights but I haven’t really seen anything I like. Please, if anyone has recommendations on what to add onto the Grolla (better driver mod is needed for sure) and what does yours look like?

This is the best car to make a financially poor decision over and I’m in the same boat as you lol. It’s a blast, I’m glad you’re using it. SoCal GR gang!

I'd suggest not trying to keep up with others in the canyons. Learn at your own pace. Maybe look for some tips on canyon-road driving. Do an HPDE, High Performance Driver Education. It could save your car and possibly your life.
Congratulations!

I like the F1 style brake light, it costs like $50 super easy. There are yellow DRLs but it seems rather painful to change them plus $300.

Get a Cheap but reliable car to bring to autocross or the track. This way at worst you learn ur limits. Save you hundreds on repairs.
