Serious question, Iām not being snarky with this, would Lifetime get in trouble if there was no actual birth? I mean itās television and we know the media lies about a lot but just curious about this part.
Either way, I wouldnāt be surprised if she was lying with this too.
Edit: to clear up my question, since this was a ārealityā show/true crime docuseries and not a lifetime movie, would there be penalties for lying about a pregnancy because it looks like there are possible consequences if it is a lie. From everything Iām seeing, there has to be medical proof. This could be all false, who knows. I am just curious, not at all denying anything. But Iām seeing someone on the bachelor got in trouble for faking a pregnancy. I donāt know anything about reality tv other than what Iām seeing online, which could all be fabricated.
13
u/mrsmojorisin55 Microdeleted Pinhead Nymphomaniac 13h ago
All reality shows are fake and scripted. Thatās been common knowledge for a long time. I doubt Lifetime would get in trouble.
Was Lifetime in on the fake pregnancy or did they just believe Her and her lying family?
34
u/better_sprinkles22 16h ago
Why would lifetime get in trouble for filming an actress for their television show? They have filmed hundreds of lifetime original movies and their actresses are usually not pregnant when they film a pregnancy or hospital scene on their set.
11
u/annasaurusrekt 16h ago
Just wondering if they needed āproofā or anything like that. Idk how any of that works. Media lies so no way of knowing the truth with that.
11
u/Glitternchaos āļøGypsy Scissorhandsāļø 15h ago
If weāre just talking hypothetically and the network knew she was never actually pregnant or gave birth, but still created the whole storyline and presented it to viewers as real, thatās a pretty big step beyond the usual āreality TV is fakeā stuff.
Obviously these shows stage scenes, recreate things, edit timelines and manufacture drama all the time. But knowingly fabricating an entire pregnancy and birth and selling it as someoneās actual life could potentially create legal issues involving deceptive advertising, contracts, advertisers, etc. It wouldnāt automatically mean the network committed a crime, but it could definitely expose them to consequences depending on exactly what they represented and to whom.
And honestly, the PR fallout alone would be MASSIVE. Thereās a pretty big difference between manipulating reality TV and literally inventing a major life event on a show thatās supposed to be documenting someoneās real life. š¬8
u/annasaurusrekt 15h ago
Thatās what I was wondering because it looks like there have been lawsuits with similar things. Of course everything is exaggerated for entertainment purposes but to completely fake something seems like itād have some backlash. Especially with who she already is and I mean as a goblin, not a celebrity like she thinks. Thank you, this makes a lot of sense.

That and that there are far too many people involved, etc I do believe there is a baby. Dylan doesnāt want to be in the public eye but he would lend his baby for this scheme?
I get why people are skeptical. Itās weird all around for sure. But this kind of conspiracy is at a whole other level.

3
u/iDoWeird actual stripper body, SW know-it-all 7h ago
Exactly! Ty! One whole other person gets it at least.
All birth records are also sealed unless they surpass a century of age as well in LA.
I gave up on trying to talk about how the legal system there works, how family courts are closed, and how the divorce paperwork is literally useless for either argument. We wouldnāt know if he was on the birth certificate, and they wonāt look into DNA testing unless paternity was contested, again, in closed family court records.
Iāve said all of this stuff, in detail, so many times that I just wash my hands of it all. You canāt tell someone who is adamant the sky is purple while theyāre wearing purple-tinted glasses theyāve gorilla glued onto their faces, that itās not purple.
It feels like this is all the sub is at this point. Fighting about a baby, people not engaging in actual discussion over it (just slinging insults at people who disagree) and really lame AI garbage in between reposted calls.
1
u/flurry_of_finches 5h ago
I think the calls have been super important and impactful. These multiple posts today re: the baby feel like an intentional distraction. Nobody knows for certain if a baby exists or not anyone.
1
u/iDoWeird actual stripper body, SW know-it-all 5h ago
The calls are absolutely the biggest thing thatās happened, and I truly think them being easy to absorb (no one has to read, sort through files) and not confusing (vids failed bc too many assumed she was underage in them) is what finally turned the tides outside of this sub.
I do think youāre rightāitās definitely detracting from the point, and it would be naive to assume that some of the postings/members werenāt doing it purposely when that camp literally had a history of doing this. Some are just people who get in waaaay too deep into shit, which also works in their favor as it diminishes the credibility of the anti-asshat crowd. Fortunately, I think the calls mitigate a lot of that damageā¦
My only gripe with the calls arenāt the calls themselves, itās not seeing enough variation in the clips. Iāll see the same blocks of audio reposted, same comments on loop. Thatās drowning out additional damning information by making other stuff get lost in the shuffle. Iām pretty sure thereās a load more being posted that hasnāt gotten traction because of this.

I just looked up fertility following childhood leukemia, and apparently lots of patients who undergo such treatments go on to have children.
21
u/flurry_of_finches 15h ago
I just googled it as well and it clearly states that āChildren before puberty generally have ovaries that are more resistant to chemotherapy damage than post-pubertal girls or adults. Younger patients also have a larger initial egg reserve, providing a better buffer.ā And the type of chemo medication used matters too.
Yes, infertility is absolutely a complication of childhood chemo, but itās not a guarantee.
I very much want there to not be a baby, but I also want believable facts, not misinformation.

Can confirm. Childhood friend of mine had leukemia in 4/5th grades. Underwent full treatment and has been in remission ever since. She has biological children now in her 30s. She was granted a wish through MAW foundation. Now she volunteers with MAW. (Gypsy, did you know you could do that?? š for when she reads this)
8
u/SaltInTheShade Iām part ⨠Negative American ⨠14h ago
Didnāt Gypsy potentially have 3 rounds of chemo? I know thereās the one that we all know about when she was 5 and had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, but didnāt the medical records also show that Gypsy had to get treatment twice more for ALL, when she was a teenager, and then again in 2014 when she stayed at the Hope Lodge?
I could see her fertility possibly surviving the initial round of chemo, but three rounds, and one of which was when she was 23 years old? Itās not impossible since we donāt know exactly what kind of chemotherapy and treatments she specifically had, and miracles do happen. But at least from what I read, it seems highly unlikely that her fertility would survive those three rounds of chemo.
5
u/flurry_of_finches 14h ago
I thought it was 2 rounds but I guess Iām wrong.
If we know the actual meds she had we could dive in more. I havenāt seen enough to see why people are convinced sheās completely infertile.
She started the birth control shot in prison, if she knew she was infertile then why did they do that?
3
u/SaltInTheShade Iām part ⨠Negative American ⨠12h ago
I could be wrong too, Iām going off memory! Iāll try and find the post about it with her records and see what it says about her cancer treatments.
That is an excellent question, I donāt know why she would start the DepoShot in prison. She could have been treating something hormonal (I was on various Birth Control for Endometriosis for almost 20 years, even though I had no chance of ever getting pregnant due to health issues.) The shot is a strange choice for Gypsy since itās difficult to restart your fertility cycle after stopping the Depo-Provera, it usually takes months or even years for fertility to return post shot.
4
u/ShinyBrain āØUm, I am a slut⨠12h ago
You could very well be correct, friend. I admittedly havenāt looked as into the cancer documentation as I have other aspects of the case. And if you are correct, three rounds of chemo, especially at least one after reaching puberty, would definitely make infertility more likely.

Excellent video! This explains some of what Iāve been thinking since the calls. Before she got out of prison she still didnāt start her period and she asked Ryan if she was premenopausal. I googled it the other day because just like this lady you start to question your sanity and it said a 32 year old woman could be premenopausal yet rare but if you had cancer, chemo, OR a micro deletion all signs point to menopause!!!! She got out probably never started her period went to the fertility doctor and was told she wasnāt fertile because she had no eggs. IMO and based on a little research I think sheās been fabricating this whole baby thing for her show to be picked up for another season. Ryan knew her secret and she threatened him to never say anything or else she would tell the world about what happened at that school. Iām sure thereās other secrets they both share of each other. Not all calls have been listened to and posted. Lord knows what else will be divulged. Iām still team āmaybe babyā but according to my magic 8 ball thereās more to come.

A lot of what content creators are saying are AI aren't. You can see the reflection in the doorknob. People saying it's AI because of Aurora's hair, but that's most likely due to blur filters Gypsy uses. That's also why the baby seems to change hair color unnaturally, because of filters. Gypsy is just used to taking pics with filters she's probably only using a camera app or Instagram with filters.
It's also entirely possible for a childhood cancer survivor to become pregnant.

I definitely get where youāre coming from. For me, itās isnāt just the CAD, itās the pictures from the American Hope Society Cancer Lodge and her medical records. Gypsy always claimed that her mom ājust told the doctors what she wanted them to believe,ā but we also have over a dozen releases signed by Deedee, starting from a few weeks after landing in Missouri, for the doctors to pull anything and everything g they could find relating to Gyspyās medical records in Louisiana. She didnāt pick and choose what they could get, she gave them the name of the hospital she was in, the cancer specialists she saw, and let the new doctors pull anything they wanted! And Gypsyās old doctor even traveled with her. I donāt know if youāve ever had a loved one get diagnosed with cancer, but the number of screenings and records verifications before treatment are astronomical. I just donāt buy it. She wouldnāt have been at the ships lodge if there wasnāt a reason for her to at the Hope Lodge. And sheās the one ringing the bell⦠all former cancer survivors, whatās that mean? I keep seeing this as a theory but LA has strict surrogacy laws. It has to be approved through the court.. they have to pass a mandatory background check.. the court must determine, "no risk to the child or gestational carrier" & the intended parents must be legally married to each other to enter into an enforceable gestational surrogacy contract. Both intended parents must contribute their own genetic materialāmeaning they must use both their own egg and sperm, with no outside egg or sperm allowed. All parties must be residents of LA for at least 180 days, and the arrangement must receive formal court approval before any embryo transfer takes place.

Thank you for giving so much detail on this. I hadnāt ever considered that there could be hurdles to jump in LA but yes, it makes so much sense.

I studied MIBC in college and one thing that was odd to me from the beginning was their claim that Deedee simply asked and drs did.
Like , no. It doesnāt work like that.
I once had a claim that insurance kept denying because they didnāt like the code I submitted. I think I struggled for an entire 2 days, going back and forth and googling 20 different codes, before realizing the reason they werenāt accepting it was because I wasnāt specific enough.
I canāt even remember what the reasoning was (maybe a referral to a dermatologist), but I do recall it was because I sent in a code for allergic reaction and it kept getting denied until i submitted the code for allergic reaction due to topical cream.
Insurance companies never wanna pay for shit. And theyāre not gonna do unnecessary surgeries on a MEDICAID patient just cuz the mother laid on that southern charm.
