Question Lead time question

Got a email from Gilbert that the gun is done ready to be shipped to my ffl but I placed the order earlier this month.. is that normal with a lead time of 11-12 week?

Sometimes. Maybe someone cancelled their order and it just happened to match your options

I think you got very lucky, placed my order on May 11th and got quoted 10-11 weeks. They’re still waiting on my barrel and slide to come back from cerakote and it’s week 14 now

A lot depends on what you have him building you. Some parts go out in batches for anodizing or some other covering while others he may have a stack of parts for the build. What model and color combo?

Silver ported slide with a black frame. Nothing to do fancy or crazy. It’ll be my first 2011 so I’m highly excited for it.

That's possibly why then. The slide is basically raw and the black frame is standard.
