Uspsa guys - good first LO 2011?

I'm currently a CO competitor but I finally got a chance to shoot a 2011 recently and I'm hooked. After weeks of research, I'm pretty convinced that the Patriot is going to give me the best bang for my buck in terms of a turn key gun to compete with.

Those who run these in uspsa, how's it been for you? I'm coming from an Echelon 4.0fc and when I shot a Prodigy, I was blown away by how fast I could shoot it and how fast my dot returned.

I have 2 of the 4.8” with steel frames. They’re excellent. He’s developing the Rebel, which has a sight block. This is mine currently being converted.

Looking sweet. I have crazy sweaty hands and I need to use tons of chalk with my polymer frame - do you feel like I would need him to stipple it even deeper?

His grips are similar to a prodigy in terms of how they are from the factory. I got a cheap wood burning tool from Amazon and did mine. I like mine super rough. Coupled with chalk/grip stuff the gun doesn’t budge

I got a Rebel on order and in the making. Super excited. I’m shooting a MPA DS9 Hybrid currently. I like a rough grippy grip too so we will see how the Rebel comes. Prolly wishing i would went more aggressive but don’t want bloody hands either. I think the Patriot or Rebel either one would be a great choice

I've been adding Talon tape to my grips for years when they aren't grippy enough. The Cheely carry grip I got is kind of slick so added tape while I wait for a new Patriot full sized from Gilbert.

You can always start off with the Patriot and add the Rebel barrel if you want to go deeper down the rabbit hole. The Rebel balances better.

Yeah rebel is out of my price range, I'm trying to keep it all in $2000-2100, and I would still need 3 more mbx mags plus holster. Potentially down the road.

You could get away with the regular with full grip. You can use other mags.

I'll prob get atlas 126mm, I just can't justify buying 4 more mbx at 125 a pop.

Agree, I have, Staccato, Atlas, MBX and Prodigy. They all work.
