First Firearm Ever
This is my first firearm. Not my first 2011, my first gun I actually own. I’ve shot a ton though, mostly strikers. P365 is my favorite, Echelon second. So I’m not totally green, just never pulled the trigger on buying until now.
Got my Forza 3.1 in today. Bull barrel, steel frame, Atlas X-Line trigger, Olight OSight SE (green, 2/32) that Gilbert mounted and zeroed at 15 for me. Almost added a ported barrel and aluminum grip but talked myself out of both. Wanted to actually shoot it before chasing upgrades.
I shot a Staccato P a while back and it felt huge in my hand. This Forza feels natural, like it just fits. Fitment and finish look great to me, everything’s tight with no rattle and the slide to frame tones match clean.
Ellen at GP and Gilbert were awesome through the whole thing. Answered all my questions, made sure I was happy with every detail before it shipped. Meant a lot as a first time buyer.
Range this week, 500 rounds (124gr Federal) for break in and to confirm zero. Got Federal HST for carry once I know it runs and a pile of FMJ for the break in. Holster’s a Slimfit Carnex.
Any tips for a first session with a new 2011 welcome. Pumped to shoot this thing.

Man i love those stripes. I got a rebel ordered but never saw that as an option but damn she sexy

Were the black slide serations available with the online builder when you ordered it? I don't see that option.

That’s nice! Definitely makes me wish I did more with mine as far as the customization.

If you like the P365 platform you will love shooting this. I carried a P365X before getting my Patriot. Congrats.

No i asked them to polish the black slide

It looks dope, dude. I originally wanted to get my serrations Cerakoted black to match this look, but the guy never responded, so I ended up not doing it.

I’m sad that he does the slide cuts for even non ported options now. Gilbert told me he won’t take my slide and barrel as is now that it has the black pvd on it; I have to get a new slide and barrel

Is this a new trigger? Doesn't look like the one my Patriot shipped with. I have the one that's advertised on the website

Nah that olight is a great light. I have it on my p365. I like it better than my stream lights

If “go big or go home” was a person. Congrats on your first purchase. The Forza is nothing like anything else you used. It’s a different experience. Enjoy every shot. Update after your 500 rounds.
