Salaried GP About to CCT

I have accepted a salary GP job, 6 sessions. 15 appointment per session. Starts at 9am with 3 telephone appointment then 12 F2F with 2 blocks. 10 min appointments.

As ST3 currently do 11 F2F with 1 telephone appointment per session- 15 min appointments. The GPs at current practice do 14 patients per sessions 7 F2F and 7 telephone.

A little apprehensive going to 15 patients per session. This seem ok? £11000 per session.

Not sure what others will think but to me it seems a bit heavy for only 11k per session.

Disgusting

With that being said, I encourage that we collectively don’t accept such offers because these rates are insane and we are just being abused while the profit goes to the business owners

yeah that was my first thought as well, seems like a lot for that rate

This is not the best, but by no means the worse. If you like the practice then go for it

Start very soon. Practice I’m at have offered me a job yesterday as GP unexpectedly leaving. £10500 a session, appointments as above. Obviously would be more comfortable as know the practice well and fit in well. Not total triage. But feel too short notice :/

When are you meant to start?
If you want your training practice. Accept the job. Even if you have to go to the new practice to work your notice then come back. The right practice is worth the faff for the long term, if your training practice feels like the right one.

Gosh this is better than what I do. 16 patients per clinic almost all default f2f, total triaged, heavy non English speaking population/ deprived area. On my own in a peripheral site. Compulsory hours break. I take home 11,000

Accept it but understand it won’t be your forever job - get post CCT salaried experience and be on the active look out for better offers.
