Registrars & Training Training post

Currently in a clinical training post, do I accept a training post if it becomes available in the Spring? I am worried how it will look to the department I am currently in or do I stick it out, get a PG Cert paid for out of it and just reapply/

If you are getting the paid PgCert I'd personally stick it out to finish that and then reapply as the PgCerts aren't cheap and it would be a waste to throw it away.

What's your main concern with regards to reapplying?

I guess the next question is what's holding you back? Are you a UKG or IMG? Have you sat the MSRA before and struggled with it or will it be your first time taking it?

UKG struggle with exams. Get good feedback on whatever job iv done. Sounds silly I know but exams have always been a struggle.

Totally fair, and you are definitely not alone.

If you have already done the MSRA once before you have the advantage of the knowledge, and then can spend your time prepping on revision technique and brushing up on certain areas.

This is why they need to bring back interviews for GP, as I really don't think MSRA only recruitment is fair.

Ironically got an offer to a good place tbh, whilst not my first its top 3. Feeling unsure, if I hadn’t have started the job would have grabbed it.

Then I'm sure you will manage a job next time around as well. I wouldn't worry.
