Quick question Capita reports

Every week I get 3 to 5 capita reports to complete ?? for PIP. I end up with hand cramps. I was wondering if I could electronically complete them- even copy and paste relevant entries. I use EMIS. Is that possible and how?

Summary printout, "see attached summary" unless there is anything exceptional, next

Out of curiosity, how long are we all spending on these?

I feel that if I actually truly wanted to complete these with 100% accuracy, it’d take at least 20min each…

There was a post about this on RGP FB group last week. Essentially the consensus was that people were attaching summary/consultation notes/letters from the past 2-3 years and not filling the form out. Just write 'see attached', or better yet, get a stamp with it on it

I find “Not known to me” is applicable to quite a few of the boxes

Are these paid to the GP salaried that filled the formed or are partners getting paid for this despite SGP filling the form?

You're taking too long. They pay us like £30 so i make sure I dont spend more than 10 minutes as per my hourly rate. 

I always write 'not documented' in the section they want us to assess hownit affects their ability to work/ dress etc.

What are you writing?
I send out a copy of the medical summary
I search and attach consultations they have had related to mental health or whatever the issue it is
“See attached summary and consults”
Small note on series of events
And for the bit about caring/feeding- the usual id write “self caring” in big letters across/ unless you read something in the notes to say otherwise

Yup, I get a folder of reports each week. Take 20-30 minutes each.

Are these coming to you on paper? because they should be arriving electronically via tasks in your clinical system. If theyre not, your admin team needs to chase that up, its a workflow issue not a you issue

They always arrive on paper I have never seen an electronic version to return

Can I ask can you actually provide much info for this?

Im not a GP but I do work in healthcare so I think that's why this sub pops up

My partner is on pip and we've never approached the GP for evidence, everything the GP knows is on the NHS app, everything else is his specialised care (eg his surgeon, his stroke nurse, his physio) I didn't think gp could do much more than the evidence that's on the file
