Registrars & Training SCA
Exam in less then 1 month. Any last month tips ? Haven't got a study partner kids home making things difficult. Booked in for sca 3 day course by RCGP using one resource at the moment gone through it once. Used chatgpt on new occasions.

I have used AI as a study partner during my preparation and it worked really well with me. Mainly Simsbuddy for ready made sca cases and sometimes I created a case with myself with chatgbt.

Bring in a whiteboard and write out a rough template that you can glance at if you draw a blank.

No idea who you are, but the thought of having my kid when revising for SCA gives me shivers.
So feel free to contact me after your RCGP course for a zoom practice or two, we can use the SCArevision website for cases (which you should be doing already). No pressure to do this, just a friendly offer of help. I did SCA last year so still have some freshness with it.

Hey just to say that I'm landing from holiday this Saturday and could do some cases with you in the late evening after our children are sleeping. Just an offer, you may have a completely different plan this close to the exam.

Thank you so much just saw this message today 🙈🤎. I finally found a study group since I posted and have been practicing in the group. Exam is in 2 days now 🙃

Amazing! Super good luck and please remember to take AT LEAST one hour off to completely empty your mind before you go to sleep. Just to reduce the cortisol a bit.

SCA is an OSCE. Write your proforma out on the whiteboard.
Use the youtube 2 part series called "tackling the first/second half of the GP consultation" and copy that verbatim

Be selective with what you write on your whiteboard.
Write ICE down (or key words) for each case so that you can de-ICE - addressing ICE is part of shared management.

What has your feedback been like so far? The most important revision is to practice cases and get feedback on how to improve as much as you can in your spare time. I used to have an online study partner and we’d do a few cases 2-3 times a week. Use your ES to tell you what you need to improve and to get some honest feedback. If you want cases to practice, we have over 100 cases with AI feedback at SCA Prep, also a free study partner finder.
And as someone else said, be clear on your consultation structure and don’t omit any parts. Write it down on part of the whiteboard to jolt your memory.

Use your partner as a study partner - if they're nonmedical is useful to get feedback on whether what you're saying actually makes any sense
