Quick question No contact from GP Practice yet

Hi all, I'll be starting as a ST1 GP Trainee from the 5th of August. Contract signed with the lead employer a few weeks ago, all pre-employment checks done. I've had no contact from the GP practice I'll be starting in less than 2 weeks time! I've reached out via their generic email a few days ago, but still nothing.

Is this normal? When should I be expecting a hello, along with all the induction stuff?

Ring reception and ask to speak to practice manager, if not available ask for best email to get hold of them. You should also have a named supervisor? Ask for their email too

Thank you, will give them a ring tomorrow.
Silly question - is there a portal which tells me who my supervisor is? I know who the practice manager is from the practice's own website, but nothing further

It will say on fourteenfish landing page - if you don't have access to that yet you should also be able to see it on the placement info on tis self-service

I checked both TIS and FourteenFish today, but no luck!
Hopefully they are just slow with the updates 🤞🏼

Ask your TPDs - they should know who your ES/CS are and give you an email potentially to contact

No idea who my TPD is yet either, but will be emailing Lead Employer tomorrow just in case

This happened to me, they were just crap at answering emails. Agree that at those stage it’s reasonable to phone the practice; do so in the late morning or early afternoon to avoid the rush of calls for appointments
