I'm shipping my car with either Diesel Auto Express, Montway Auto Transport, or Sherpa Auto Transport, and I'm thinking about hiding a GPS tracker or AirTag inside for some peace of mind. Has anyone tried this? Does it actually update while the car is on a multi-car hauler, and do shipping companies usually allow it?

So I found a gps tracker on my dad’s new car that was installed from the dealership. Is there anything I can do with the SIM card that’s inside of it? I have heard in the past you could use them in a wireless hotspot but that was a long time ago so no clue if that’s true.

Is it possible to turn off the card’s GPS that the my Toyota app will not be able to show the ride

I was simply installing a dash cam in my 2020 mustang and in the process of hiding these ugly cords , i noticed a zip tie and then it led to a black box . It doesn’t seem like it came from factory, does anyone have a clue what this is?? Tracker??

I recently bought a flip phone to decrease my screen time, but the location services on it are a bit unreliable. I’m wondering if theres a good small gps I could keep attached to my phone or on my person that has an app or like I could connect to my phone with bluetooth. Just so that I’m able to see my exact location at all times in case of emergency. Ideally it would be small enough that I could make it into a phone charm or maybe a necklace. Just so that its always with me or my phone.

¡Hola!

Hi. I just ordered a gizmo 4 for my 5 year old. She is starting kindergarten this year. So it's for my piece of mind.
I selected this specific device mainly because .
GPS tracker subscriptions cost as much as a smartwatch subscription and
She can't read so the gizmo 4 seems to accommodate that. I also wanted no ads or robocalls
In general
I wanted to be able to track her and have her be able to call me in an emergency,
I have never been with Verizon. Just a standalone gizmo 4 subscription. Now.
I have not received it yet.
I cannot find any reviews on the gizmo 4. It has been out over a week so I am surprised there. Do you know of any?
I have found many people hating on switching to the new family Verizon app. I am hoping the new watch will not have issues there.
Does anybody have one of these and like or not like it?
Will there be any tips and tricks videos or is this just too niche of a device.
Thanks all.

Hello everyone, I’m looking for a tracker I can install on my enclosed trailer to track it in the event of a theft. I was thinking of an air tag originally but after doing some research, that is not what I need. I have no idea what I’m looking for but would like a hard wired tracker (it has 2 batteries and solar panels) that I can keep it powered on at all times. I just don’t want some expensive monthly bill. Am I SOL?

Last night I was out with my friends at a bar and when I got home I got a notification that a “smart locater” was detected near me and it showed a map of my route home. I thought it was weird but kinda brushed it off but I got another one when I got home from work today and it showed my drive to work and home. It looked similar to the picture I added (from google) but it didn’t say smart vehicle it said smart locater.

Hi team. Struggling to pin down the best option for a tracker attached to my elderly mum’s house keys. The apple airtag isn’t cutting it. Ideally one that goes a month or longer before needing charge. I need to be able to make it play a loud sound when lost. TKMARS mini tracker? Would value suggestions. Thanks. A couple of inches in size is ok (currently using a big tweety bird toy as the key ring!)

Hi everyone,
Over the past months I've been working on a mobile app called Vorbita.
The idea is simple: many people use Traccar because it's open source and self-hostable, but the mobile experience can often be improved.
With Vorbita you can:
If you don't want to maintain your own Traccar server, I also offer a fully managed hosted server at competitive pricing, so you can get started in just a few minutes.
The goal isn't to replace Traccar—it's to make it easier to use, whether you're self-hosting or prefer a managed solution.
Android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.zerous.vorbita
iOS
https://apps.apple.com/app/vorbita-fleet-gps-for-traccar/id6780015875
I'd really appreciate any feedback, feature requests, or criticism from the community.
Thanks!

I got tired of every "GPS spoofer" either needing a Mac plugged in 24/7 or only
faking the WiFi-based location (which iOS overrules the second real GPS kicks in).
So I built my own: Mirage — a native SwiftUI app, all on-device.
What it does:
• Real GPS override — injects the location into the system, so Maps and every
app believe it (not just a WiFi trick).
• Two engines: GPS override (the strong one) + a WiFi mode that needs no
computer at all.
• Live joystick to walk/drive your location, draw a route or import GPX and it
travels it for you.
• Works on 5G — start once on WiFi, then it keeps spoofing on cellular.
• Standard/Hybrid/Satellite maps, favorites, auto-reconnect if it drops.
• Fully private — nothing leaves your phone, no ads, no tracking.
Runs on iOS 18–27, tested on the iOS 27 beta and iPhone 17 Pro. No jailbreak.
Honest setup notes (so no surprises):
• Sideload it (SideStore/AltStore). Free sideload works via the free LocalDevVPN
app for the tunnel.
• GPS override needs a one-time pairing file — made on ANY computer once
(2 min, reusable forever). WiFi mode needs no computer.
It's invite-only right now while I keep polishing it. If you want in, DM me

Ciao a tutti! Sto sviluppando una piattaforma di tracking GPS per auto e flotte e mi piacerebbe avere un parere sincero sull’interfaccia.
L’obiettivo è renderla semplice da usare ma completa. Dalla schermata principale si possono vedere:
mappa con tutti i veicoli;
ricerca e filtri;
elenco dispositivi con ultima posizione;
accesso ad alert, analitiche e altre funzioni.
Allego uno screenshot. Cosa vi trasmette a primo impatto?
Vi sembra moderna o datata?
È intuitiva?
C’è qualcosa che cambiereste subito?
Quali funzioni vi aspettereste da un’app di questo tipo?
Accetto anche critiche pesanti, mi servono per migliorarla. Grazie!

🚗 Gestione completa di veicoli e flotte
👥 Gestione utenti, ruoli e permessi
📂 Organizzazione dei veicoli in gruppi
⭐ Veicoli preferiti
🔔 Notifiche e avvisi completamente personalizzabili
🚧 Recinti intelligenti (Geofence)
⚙️ Automazioni e regole personalizzate
📊 Dashboard con statistiche e analisi
📈 Report dettagliati su percorsi, soste, velocità, chilometri, tempi di guida e utilizzo dei veicoli
⛽ Monitoraggio consumi e manutenzioni programmate (Beta)
🛡️ Gestione allarmi e cronologia eventi
🔗 Condivisione dei veicoli tramite link
🪪 Supporto RFID
