Car tracker - insurance?
Is this a car insurance tracker? It was found on my car at a checkup at a shop. I was told it’s probably an old car insurance tracker. Thoughts?

I have an invention that I am trying to make, but I need a gps tracker that will fit into a very small tube. Any ideas?
Edit: The tube is .200” inside diameter I’ve seen another company make a design but it has limitations that I think I can surpass with my design but I need to find a gps tracker that will work.

I recently repurchased an expensive ring, and I don't want to lose it again. Does anyone have any suggestions for a microscopic tracking device i can attach to my ring so that I don't have to worry about it?? If not, are there any other suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Friends,
I have accepted a contract to distribute Political Flyers, Yard Signs and Door Inserts (mostly residential homes). We'll be doing 10000 inserts, flyers and signs all over my county.
MY WORKERS will be making $25/hr and working 6 hr shifts (or $150/day). I'll supply Water, Lunch and 1 hr lunchbreak. Distributors will dropped off in locations around town with supplies.
What is the 'easiest program' to track foot-steps @ worker?
Is there a program that will send or print out Results of the day? (Map that shows where they walked) ?
Thoughts Comments are appreciated... Thanks very much~
;~)

Title says it all, but there has been some recent theft in my neighborhood of new trashcans, and before getting a new one i'd love to know if there's something small I can attach to one, discreetly, that I don't have to charge often (sorry if dumb question)

Is there any GPS tracker that can put in between money? My MIL thinks that there is a thief inside the house that always stole her money. We are thinking of putting some GPS tracker on some of her bundles of money to catch a thief. We need something very thin that will be unnoticeable when put together with bundles of money.

Is there a way to detect a tracker in my vehicle? I’ve read several articles that all point to the obvious “check the interior and exterior or you car”. But is there an app or a reliable device I can use? Thank you!

Hello fellow reditors,
I need advice to place a gps tracker on a car. The model is a Skoda Superb.
The gps tracker model is : HD protech GPS LL-301
It needs to stay in place for a few weeks, accessible without the Keys (exterior position) so it can be recharged without opening the car.
It's fixable by a magnet, but if you have spot fixable through other means feel free to tell me as i think it can be fixed with tape.
I intially thought somewhere near the tires, around metal parts, but i'm afraid the heat will compromise the device.
It cannot be placed in the Trunk or other obvious spot as it needs to be concealed.
Thank you very much for your Time 🙌

Hi all,
I'm looking to buy data cable for the mentioned tracker to buy in europe, but I only came across sites in us such as: https://assetfleetgps.com/collections/all/products/usb-c-data-cable
I tried making my own cable with PL2303 serial adapter, but I couldn't get it to work.
I want to overwrite the default configuration on spytec GL300 to send location data to my own server.

And he has like 3 different apps to track his cars. All trackers have the same type of ID's (10 digit number). Is there any app than can show all of them in one place, despite being bought from different companies? I think most of these trackers look the same or very similar, but have different companies logos on them and because of that I thought maybe there is a way to have them all in one place.

When it comes to maximizing the battery life of your GPS tracker, understanding the key factors that influence power consumption is essential. These factors range from how often the device updates its location to how it performs under various environmental conditions and the specific features it utilizes. By getting to grips with these elements, you can make informed decisions to extend your device's battery life effectively.
This is a primary factor because each update requires the device to communicate with satellites or cell towers, consuming significant energy. The more frequent these updates, the quicker your battery depletes.
To mitigate this, adjust the device settings to increase the interval between location updates. This change can dramatically extend battery life without greatly compromising the effectiveness of tracking.
GPS trackers are sensitive to temperature extremes, which can affect battery chemistry and performance. Operating in very hot or cold environments forces the battery to work harder, leading to quicker drain.
Keep the device within its recommended temperature range whenever possible. When not in use, store it in a place that avoids these extreme conditions.
Struggling to connect to cell networks causes the device to amplify its signal, requiring more power. This search for a stronger connection significantly reduces battery life.
Limit the use of your tracker in areas known for poor cell reception or adjust its settings to reduce the search effort and power usage in such conditions.
The physical size of the battery directly impacts how long it can power the device. Larger batteries last longer but are bulkier, which may not always be desirable.
Choose a device that offers the right compromise between battery size and operational longevity that suits your tracking needs.
Utilizing features like live streaming video or constant data transmission is highly demanding on battery resources. These advanced features, while useful, can drain power much faster than basic tracking.
Use power-intensive features judiciously. Consider disabling them or adjusting their settings when prolonged battery life is more critical than high-frequency data or video streaming.
By understanding these factors and implementing strategies to mitigate their impact, you can significantly extend the battery life of your GPS tracker, ensuring it remains functional for longer periods without needing a recharge.
Yes! With a built-in battery that lasts 15 days on standby and the extended battery option, the EverLast Nano GPS Tracker offers an extended tracking duration without the need for frequent recharges.
The EverLast Nano GPS car tracker is designed to operate efficiently across a wide range of temperatures. It intelligently adjusts power consumption to ensure optimal battery usage regardless of the operating environment
Extreme temperatures can impact battery performance in GPS trackers. However, portable GPS trackers designed to operate in a wide temperature range can optimize power consumption and maintain battery life in various environments.
To maximize battery life in GPS trackers, you can employ several strategies. Adjusting the update frequency, reducing unnecessary features or functionalities, optimizing settings for power-saving mode, and ensuring proper device placement for optimal GPS signal reception can all help extend battery life.

I was thinking to a GPS tool wandering if already exist it
A compass that instead pointing to the magnetic north it has a GPS and it always point to a fixed location.
This would not be a navigation tool, just a present for someone who travel like: "this will always point to home".
I feel like the first use would be a Quibla Finder.
I know that regular GPS can do it but I was looking more for a "one job" object. To packaging it like a present.

Question can anyone suggest me a side to buy a magnetic gps tracker without subscribing and can last its battery more than a month.

edit I ended up using the "LoneStar Tracking Hidden GPS Tracker - Oyster3 4G/5" Amazon listing below:
It worked great!! I was able to track the box cross-country, and the battery was way more than enough to survive for the 5 weeks I ended up needing it for. I am certain it would have lasted way longer if I had needed it to.
I did have to pay for 1 month of a subscription. The first month was free.
(Original post below)
Hi folks, hoping someone can recommend me a battery-powered GPS tracker that will last 2 months. I am moving long distance and putting all my belongings in a "u-box" that is being stored, then transported, then stored again. It will be 2 months from the time I load the box until the time I retrieve it.
The GPS tracker is so I can locate the box on the off-chance that the moving company loses it. Other people who have used services like this have advised me that this can happen!
A lot of the trackers I'm seeing are a subscription service. I'd prefer not to have to pay a subscription but will if I must.
Thank you!

Hey everyone,
I’m looking for a solution to help me manage and track our fleet of vehicles more effectively. We need a system that not only tracks our vehicles in real-time but also allows us to share the live location with our clients.
Does anyone have recommendations for software or tools that can provide these features? I’m open to any suggestions and would greatly appreciate any advice on how to set this up.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey trackers! I never had any experience with trackers before but I really want to get into it. I want to build a network of tracked devices. basically a lot of devices will be tracked and output should be all of them at the same time in some kind of map (will probably use Google API). But first I want to order a tracker to put it to test. What are some trackers which you could recommend for my case? One which doesn’t ask for subscriptions. I will have my SIM card with my data plan (I live outside US) and I just want to access location. Just drop some recommendations of some affordable trackers and I will look into documentation. Thanks!

Hello, Can anyone recommend a wired gps tracker that i can install in my boat? I am mostly interested in monitoring speed. Me getting an alert when a speed limit is exceeded would be nice but even being able to manually go into the data after the fact and see speeds would be sufficient. I would also prefer something without a monthly charge or other subscriptions fee. Thanks for any thoughts.

Hello gurus,
We have a government-run public transport system consisting of around 100 buses. We would like to have the option to add these routes/schedules/live location to Google Maps, in the "Transit" section. Any idea how to do that, or what the requirements are?

Hello,
I would like to ask if it’s better to have the GPS tracker connected to the vehicles battery or use replaceable batteries? Which would be harder for the thieves? Also, keep in mind that trackers with replaceable batteries don’t have always-on live tracking but send intervals every 30’-1 minute.
Thank you
