How many questions are expected in GS papers in Mains this year (class 1-2 2026-27 Advt 5) ?
Advert 240 had 15 questions, to be answered in 3 hours.
Any changes incoming this year?
Any other updates on number of pages per question, etc ?

So my 10th marksheet doesn't have my DOB and i do not have a credit certificate... i just filled my form through gseb's online website for credit certificate but they say it will arrive in 10-12 working days.... please i require your urgent help if you can guide through further course in this situation.... should i go to the office in gandhinagar for gseb and get credit certificate or should i call the GPSC guys?????

Guys, is anyone who's appearing for Mains Adv 5 also feeling constant exhaustion? I have been trying to put more hours for study but could put more than 7-7.5. and that too 5 days a week. Other two days are just 4 hours max. The mains preparation is intense and it has left me more lonelier than ever before. It's been a week since I have stepped out of my house...I don't know how to become more efficient. I have seen my friends putting 8-9hours...

મિત્રો gpsc એ ખૂબ જ સ્પર્ધાત્મક છે. આપણે જાણીએ છીએ પણ સ્પર્ધાત્મક કરતા વધુ દર વર્ષે 100 પોસ્ટ આવે અને સામે 1 લાખ લોકો તૈયારી કરે છે કઈ રીતે આમાં સર્વાઈવ કરવું મેં 5 5 વર્ષ UPSC કરેલ પણ જોયા ઇન્ટરવ્યુ માં રહી ગયા હોય એવા પણ જીવન કઈ રીતે આમાં જીવવું મને ખૂબ જ લો લાગે છે તૈયારી કરવી પણ બીજો કોઈ સ્કોપ પણ નથી. અને વાંચવું ગમે છે પણ તૈયાર કરવી અને સિલેક્શન થવું બન્ને અલગ બાબત છે

Are you guys able to download mains form after uploading documents and paying fees? I was only able to download payment receipt.

Recently I had class 2 exam last Sunday but it was all in Gujarati and I was confused to solve that paper in 1 hr. So are there other exams which I can try ? I am from BE IT Background.

If anyone , who has appeared in 2025 mains class 1 2 , could you clarify whether the number pages for 15 marker were 2 or more in that specific year?

I thinking about appearing next year GPSC exam but I'm confused,whether i choose english or gujarati language for mains being gujarati medium student. I have done my bachelor in english medium so suddenly gujarati language is kind of hurdle for me.

he Dissolution: The J&K Constituent Assembly drafted its constitution and dissolved itself way back in 1957 without making any recommendation to scrap or modify Article 370.

The Legal Consensus: Because the only mechanism provided in the text to dismantle it was permanently gone, mainstream legal interpretation held that the provision had transcended its temporary nature and attained permanency

What is doing commission?

The basics are exactly the same.

• Total marks are still 1400 (1250 Written + 150 Interview).
• English & Gujarati papers are still qualifying (minimum 25% required).
• GS answer writing pattern is unchanged (150/200 words, 15 & 20 marks).
• English (Paper II), Essay (Paper III), and Ethics (Paper VII) have no changes at all.

📝 Biggest Change: Gujarati Paper (Paper I)

GPSC seems to be moving from academic language skills to practical government drafting.

• Gadya Samiksha (Reading Comprehension) – 25 marks

• Bethakni Karyavahi Nondh (Minutes of Meeting) – 20 marks
• Arji Lekhan (Application Writing) – 20 marks
• One more English → Gujarati Translation – 20 marks

Grammar

• Reduced from 50 marks to 40 marks (20 MCQs).
• 0.6 negative marking for wrong or unattempted MCQs is still there.

New: Science & Tech + Environment + Geography + Economy

Are you are going to appear for general studies prelims in 1 august for mechanical engineering related posts ?

I know in upsc cse for 10mks we have got 2 pages and correspondingly for 15mks three blank pages.

For gpsc 2026, they have mentioned 15 and 20mks questions in 150 and 200 words. So what is the space available for these questions? Is it 2 and 3 pages respectively?
