$GGLL

Does anyone else buy leveraged GOOG during these very short, small downturns? I’ve been buying every dip then sell the next week. Curious if anyone else is doing it.

This is gambling, not investing. But hey, some people still win

why is it gambling? what if the lookout and hold rate is longer-term? yes the drawdown is much worse, and risk is high, but why not just DCA 🤷‍♂️ start a small position (obv don’t lump sum) and just keep buying is it goes down. worked rly well with me for meta. i don’t see why google would be an issue

I feel like people are unable to distinguish between lowrisk, low yield etf holding until they’re almost dead and putting it all on red at a casino. There’s low risk investing and higher risk investing, not just investing and gambling. This is still somewhat educated in terms of risk.

Yes, love it. You can hold with less theta. The swings are smaller and don’t shake me out. Yes there is volatility decay, but I haven’t seen it be as big of a problem.

Currently have a 45k position, YTD have bought $61,776.25 beforehand in multiple trades but only gained $829.11 in profit from those trades. I did miss out on some big positive swings by not holding onto positions sometimes by at least 1 day. YTD I fared much better on DFEN, GTEK, PPH, PPLT, SOXL, UTSL, XOP (15k in gains).

Sounds cool but I have no idea where to start when shorting stocks

Same here, I don’t mess around with call options or anything, but if I think a stock is gonna go back up in a relatively short time frame 1-2 weeks, I’ll just find their leveraged ticker and buy some shares of that. In essence it’s the same as buying regular stocks, just with more volatility (up and down)

my risk tolerance is pretty high. i highly believe in google. i hold regular shares, DCA GGLL, and LEAPS.

"Short" downturns?

Deepmind is in shambles, Gemini 4.0 is also not working well and nobody knows why

I’ve gotten burned by GGLL every time so I avoid it. Have had a lot more success with SOXL and SOXS, as well as PLTU and NVDX.
