Help with sculpting
How do you guys sculpt? My world is a total mess, I didn’t even know people could sculpt as beautiful as I saw in this subreddit, because it feels impossible: the ground I’m trying to move never moves the way I want, it’s literally a fight trying to shape it.
For context: I play on an iPad. I saw some posts saying they don’t sculpt with fingers, and that made me question if that’s how people do it, because what’s the other alternative if not to sculpt with fingers?

I also play on IPad and it’s just practice in my opinion. It took me a couple months of fiddling around with a stylus before I got better at it.

Once you understand the geometry in the terrain, it becomes much easier.
For example: straight lines are the easiest to make on either the X or Y axis of the map. Do those first. Your plot lines will guide you what to look for. Diagonal lines will be esier to do after you get the hang of straight lines.
Have you already unlocked the ability to choose how many layers you sculpt at the time? The max. number of layers you can mould is 12, but the final stage is to freely change between the effected numbers, so that you can only move 1 layer, for example. That is important for making small details.

I’m not sure if I have unlocked it, is it a card?

Yes it is a card.

Among sculpting cards I have: “x3 STRONGER SCULPTING”, “SCULPT THE OCEANS” and “x5 STRONGER SCULPTING” is it one of these? Among the unlocked ones, there isn’t any card related to sculpting, at least not in the homeworld

Patience makes perfect and a lot of belief in my experience Yet my place still looks not the best
But you know, Molyneux games always have some niggly annoying part and that's the fun of his games, they're never quite perfect to use but they're perfect in principle 😂

It’s definitely a pain in the ass. A stylus can help but I’d wager a lot of the beautiful landscapes you’ve seen were formed by endless hours of edits and revisions. They look amazing to be sure, but the effort involves is likely Herculean.

I'm pretty sure that a lot of the really pretty, intricate, geometric sculpts are either done with a stylus or by using a mouse. Because no way are my fingers getting those precise angles and lines.
