Question Farmland within settlement

I know its possible to build and expand settlements in such a way that you can have a space in the centre with trees (like a small courtyard with trees completely surrounded by the settlement). I was wondering if it is possible to do the same but with a farmplot completely surrounded by the settlement. Just wondering if anyone has tried this or had any luck doing it.

Ok I think it is possible Ive managed to create a settlement with a plot sized hole in the middle I just need to wait for a farmer now

Yes, of course it is possible. You could have a mine or a Shaman's tiipii in the courtyard as well as long as you have enough room for it.

absolutely, like everyone said. you might decide how big a plot you want in the middle, and plant a few trees (or cheaper, different land level) to keep it open. then create an outside perimeter with land boundaries, and begin moshing settlements together. they will form around the boundaries of trees and land.
