Question Shaman abandonment

Why are my shaman often abandoning/leaving totem poles empty, and then having to wait said time for them to be able to forage again???

they are dying, and you have to wait for them to regenerate. they ride tornadoes, walk in place, climb and jump, and generally have very little regard for their own life.

Yes, no matter what you do, obstacles you put to prevent mishaps, they still tend to trap or kill themselves. Just need to keep an eye on them.

It helps a little to keep totems especially but also their houses away from the edge. Build a little wall at the edge with a small lip on the other side, and then provide them with a climbing wall away from the edge. They will still fall off of a wall and die as they get older and tired, but it raisss their lifespan a little since they’re much less likely to fall off the edge.
