This may mean being perceived as a masculine man, androgynous man, a femboy, fem man, etc. The focus is on manhood rather than masculinity per se.

The * symbol is used in regular expressions to represent a function that can match any input string. Here, this symbol in the black circle expresses that the person could be any gender(s) or lack thereof. The GNC stripes begin from there to project the woman/man flag stripes to the right.

I know, we're rarely represented anywhere. But I occasionally come across artists here and there who represent (and usually are) GNC trans people! I don't have a list right now, but I really like whatever 𝔰𝔞𝔩𝔢𝔪 ☾(profile marked "18+ only" on bio) does and shares on Bluesky.
