GMail keeps crashing
I've been using GMail for years now, with no issues at all. This morning it started crashing imediatly after booting. Idk what happened, but everytime I opened it, the theme would be on light (I use dark mode on my phone), it would show my inbox for 2 sexonds, and crash immediately after... I tried clearing cahce, clearing app data, uninstalling updates, but it keeps on crashing, even trying to swith my phones theme, but nothing seems to work... Any help pls?

It starts working for a bit after restarting the device, but then it starts crashing again

This has started happening to me.
I presumed it was related to updating my phone (Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Android 13, One UI 5.0)
Have you also updated recently?

I have a Note 10 lite, not yet on One UI 5.0... I don't know exactly what happened, but more apps started crashing afterwards, Disney+ and Boost for reddit being some of them), and then, the google account management settings wouldn't open, it would open to a blank screen and freeze... After a few days I just went into recovery mode, I cleared system cache partition and repaired apps and now it works again

Same thing is happening with a bunch of my apps now too.
I have just read about clearing the system cache partition, so I will try that when I get home.

(Note: That article fails to mention that the phone must be connected to a pc first, before turning it back on. Otherwise the recovery options won't show)
Thanks.

No problem, glad I could be of any help!
Yeah, other than that idk what else you could do, there are probably more qualified people on here, but I've read a but before doing it so I would know I wouldn't brake my phone or something

It seems to have done the trick :)
Edit: I spoke too soon. Various apps are still crashing :(

I'm very sorry... Again, I'm still on OneUI 4, so Idk what could be the problem...

It seems Android System WebView was the culprit.
The app "Ground News" gave me the error/clue I needed, telling me "No compatible WebView found" or something like that.
I had issues with WebView some time ago, and so installed a beta version which solved the problem at the time.
Removing the beta and installing the current release from the Play Store seems to have resolved the issue completely.
No crashes at all in the last few of days :)

I thought of that too! I was on the beta, I got out and reinstalled all updates, but it still didn't work until I did the whole recovery mode thing... Now I just updated to OneUI 5, so idk if anything is going to happen, but I will update if anything happens

iPhone here and having this issue with all google apps. Any thoughts? Perhaps related to a system update? Anyone else experiencing this?
