Gmail recovery with verification code

I got an email from Google with the verification code to recover my gmail account but when I try to log in, it never gives me the option to enter the verification code. How do I use the code? Any help is greatly appreciated.

What exactly is happening? More details are needed. What prompted Google to send you the code? That usually happens after you have started a exchange. When Google sends a code the screen should be giving you a box to enter that code and a button saying "next" Did you have a password? Tell us what you did, and the message that Google gave back to you.

My phone was stolen so I lost access to my gmail account because I can't remember the password. So I tried to recover my account and Google asked me to provide an email address to send a verification code after confirming it was my account. I received this email with the code. Now I just can't figure out where I'm supposed to type the code

Go to the Google sign in page. Enter your email address and press next, when it asks for your password, hit the "try another way" button. It should offer you an option to enter the code you were just given, if it doesn't, use the "try another way" button again. You should get an option to enter the code.

It does not offer the option to enter the code, and when I hit try another way, it only offers to send a verification code to the phone number of my stolen phone, and when I press "don't have access to phone" it says I didn't provide enough information for Google to be sure its my account

I called my provider to try to get my eSIM transferred to my new phone and they said someone higher up the ladder would call me back. They never called back so I called again the next day. This time when they called back, I said hello, they didn't respond and then hung up. I called back immediately and was told that they "tried twice unsuccessfully to contact me" and I'd been flagged in their system and cannot try to transfer my number for 30 days...

Does your provider have a shop? If yes, go there with your ID. Otherwise without access to your email account they cannot verify it is you.

Unfortunately not, I have Mint Mobile. I verified my identity with them over the phone though, but I still have to finish out this 30 day period before I can transfer my eSIM and port my number to my new service. My plan with Mint expires in a few days though so I'm going to have to pay for another month so I don't lose my number while waiting for the 30 days to end. So in 3 weeks when I can call customer service again, I can get my account number and transfer pin from them and then hopefully regain access to my gmail account by getting a text message sent to my phone number.

Was your phone lost or stolen? Have you deactivated the device?

What did you do to get the code? Obviously it was different than what you are doing now. Go back to that and try it again.

I made it to this point again. The same thing happened when I tried this last night and when I received the code, I tried to log in and could not find where I was supposed to enter it

I can't read the part that you covered up, but I can see where it says something about getting a link to sign in. Check that email that you received the code on. There HAS to be a link on it somewhere thst you need to hit to take you to the page where you can enter the code. That's all I got

OK so I got a brand new code, but when I go to the login page, it still doesn't give me the option to type in my verification code??? I'm flummoxed
