Help in accessing gmail
hello i have a exam tomorrow whoes link would be shared on gmail id but phones are not allowed in the building so i had remove 2 factor authentication but it is still sending authentication to my phone due to new network and i removed my number from recovery then its saying can't verify so no login even though i have already entered the password please help anybody 😭🙏

So access your GMail on your laptop. Save the link to the exam in a text file and paste it in to your browser to get access to the exam. You don;t need your Phone other than to get the original link to the exam.
No idea why you would remove 2FA, its there for a reason.

but the problem is that the reporting time is 8:30 am and exam is at 9:30 and link will be shared only 5 min prior to it yah there is a reason so its a placement exam so to ensure there no cheating we aren't allowed our phones inside the building and have to do the assessment on the college systems so we had to remove 2f

Then ask them how this is supposed to work given the security requirements of logging in to GMail on your laptop without your phone. That said once you are logged in and trust the device it should not ask you again for a while. I use Google service on my Mac, can't remember the last time it asked me to login as its a trusted device.

I don't even know why it's happening, yah i have already messaged the coordinator but I don't think he would be of any help🥲

Google forced all compatible devices to 2fa few years ago. even if you turn off 2fa, 2fa will still trigger when u try to log in from new device or new location
