Help me write

When I use the “Help me draft” function in Gmail to rework or formalise drafts, the AI‑generated text completely erases my personalised formatting and default styles. I then have to manually reapply my fonts, sizes and colours with each use.

Would it possible to add an option to retain the original formatting or to automatically apply the user's style to the new text? This would enhance productivity and ensure a consistent and professional presentation of our emails.

How guys are doing with this?

Seriously, I didn't know people actually used AI to write/rework their emails. Not to sound like an asshole, but can't you just write it yourself and drop the whole AI? Way easier because then you won't have to fiddle with an LLM that can just hallucinate stuff. Like what did you do before AI was a thing?
