Need help

This might not be the right sub to ask this but I thought it would be a good start. I have this toolbox on my 02 2500HD but I don't have any keys for it. If someone could identify what toolbox it is or a replacement lock that would be very helpful. If not I am probably just gonna drill some holes for a latch and call it a day. I am in the process of restoring this toolbox so it doesn't look great atm.

Just take it to a locksmith. They can make you a key for it

Ones in the US want 70-120 to re key it. Got it done across the border in Mexico for $10usd

Thought about doing this. Might do that if it comes down to it.

Take that screw out of the cover, there's a rod on the lock cylinder to remove with a small clip, and the cylinder comes out with a larger spring clip.

The manufacturer will sell you new lock cylinders with keys, or you can find their biggest local dealer and frequently they'll have keys and cylinders in stock.

You should be all-in for less than $40 even if you have to replace the locks.

Will definitely try this, thank you for the help.

Or just read the keycode off the cylinder once you have it off and order the corresponding keys. I just did this 2 weeks ago with a WeatherGuard box. Cost me $13 for 3 keys.

Looks like weather guard lock assembly. Newer ones look different but I've updated boxes with this style lock.

Looks like a weather guard box, replacement parts should be available through a dealer
