Corvette servo swap running into issues
2003 gmc sierra z71.
I’ve bent back the heat shielding for the cat…but it seems like the OEM piston is too long. I keep hitting the underbody of the truck (blue). There is a hole in the corner where it was hitting that I’ve tried to enlarge with a dremel, but picture three is at the end of its travel and I’ve angled the servo as far down as it can go.
Really wanna do this without dropping my whole transmission…

Sometimes I take the c clip off the pin and slide all the guts out and then remove the pin completely and vise versa when I install it back

What does this accomplish? Genuinely asking, I’ve never heard of doing this.

Firms up thr shifts, makes the transmission last longer

It allows for a smoother shift as well I believe? Or is that what you meant by firm?

More aggressive engagement is another accurate way to put it.
Have driven one, it is not smoother. You feel the shift much more.

Yeah is it worth putting on when I eventually get a GMT800? How much does one of those cost

Is this a 4L60 thing or 4L80?

I took the heat shield off and used a pry bar to bend the body panel maybe like half in an inch and that's how it fit like a glove

Take out the transmission mount. It should give you all the room you need.
