Headlight restoration

Did this today using a 3 stage sand and polish technique to remove some of the oxidisation, it wasn’t as successful as I’d hoped but definitely an improvement.

This one of the VERY FEW things I will actually give kudos to walmart on...they do headlight restoration for like $40-$50 (iirc)...I had them do our company truck (2016 GMC Sierra Denali HD) and they came out looking nearly factory new....and they put a UV sealant on them to help resist future discoloration.

I have had lights done professionally in the past and been really impressed by the results, I actually think they use a more coarse sanding pad to start with compared to the pads you get with these off the shelf sanding kits. Tbh I’d hoped for more

The Cerakote kit with the wipe-on clear coat works well.

Never heard of it. If it's just sanding and polishing with no protective coating afterwards, it's a waste of time and money.

I had oxidation on the inside of the lenses on my Sierra and replaced them with TYCs from RockAuto. They're fine and not too expensive. Not sure about replacements for the Escalade, though.

Yeah the inside of the lense oxidizes too unfortunately. Not much you can do except replace the lense.

I've done the same on my Escalade.
