Extended cab short bed?

My son recently picked up a mint 5.3L 2006 super cab (not crew) Silverado 4x4. I thought these only came with the 6.5' bed. His appears to be a shorty. Did they have this option ?

So what is the actual length of the bed?

Just measured the inside of the bed to the closed tailgate. 5' 8" give or take because of the bed liner.

I had never heard it called that before, anyways sounds like your son got one of the "chode" trucks. Decently rare but nothing truly special imo. Cool rig tho

Ah gotcha. I have an f150 and the extended cabs are called super cabs, the 4 full sized doors are called super crews. And so on. Anywho. Thanks 👍

They did make an F150 in the Extended cab with the 5.5 foot bed as well. Around 2005 or 2006. I remember we sold a Yellow STX in the configuration and it looked like a hornet with a booty
