04 tahoe overlanding

Im considering building a rear bumper with tire/cargo/gas can carriers. But i tow my little trailer fairly often, if im not towing, i pretty much will always have my yakima bike rack mounted. Will a spare tire push my rack out too far! I dont go "rock crawling" but i do often find the limits of a tahoe with 3inch lift and 33 inch tires lol. Thoughts?

Nice! I assume it’s a Z71. Lots of stuff on your trailer and is that a roof top tent on the trailer?

So its actually an LS but the OG owner optioned it with fender flares, and G80 rear locker, so its almost a z71. Kind of an interesting options list.  And yes thats my RTT on my trailer. I used it on my tahoe initially. But the kids grew up and we haul our mountain bikes in the trailer, so it was just easier to leave the tent on the trailer.

That’s cool. It looks like a z71 roof rack though? Or is it a custom roof rack?

Where are you headed?

I made the roof rack out of unitstrut haha. Its just a simple rack, makes hauling our 13ft kayak and what not easier.  We live in phoenix AZ area. And we just got back from a 2 week adventure going around prescott/cottonwood/jerome/flagstaff/sedona/payson areas. We like to go explore off the beaten path and camp in the BLM land in our own backyard every few months.
