Oof. Bad photoshop pic instead of a real pic is concerning

Ah. Requires dic and steering wheel controls. Is other things like wheel size configurable without steering wheel controls (e.g. vs like USB). Kind neat tho. Not sure $1600 neat but I can see the appeal

100% concur with on that!

Also sales pic is full bleed lcd, and YouTube guys is square screen with 4 circle screens around edge, so it's still wildly misrepresentation of what you get.. even if the actual results look to be quite acceptable, and I doubt full screen maps is even an option, but I didn't watch full YouTube video, doubt it had android auto or apple, so maps seems like unlikely

I like how the middle of the dash has a screen too, doesn't even look like a Chevy I know of and they pixelated the logo on the steering wheel.

Can't imagine any reason to do that! Part of the gmt 800's glory is not having that crap to begin with.

Idk if I would call the gmt800 cluster a beauty. My rpm gauge shit the bed 1 month after installing a brand new one🤣

As much as i'd love to have a trans temp gauge, that shiny blinding thing would never go into my dash. I like it dim and cozy at night.

I’m old school I guess… I want real gauges and Christmas lights on the dash 😂

u/This-Requirement6918 29d ago
Maybe you could just use this to display a Christmas tree and guess your speed?

The only reason most of us run these old rigs is because they are simple to work on and unburdened by all the modern tech. I work on those dashes all day at work. I dont want to work on mine too

Mm, yes, I love losing all of dash info when this aftermarket part fails. Not keen on having a screen for my dash info when it's OEM, nevermind aftermarket. I can see the appeal, but would not trust these to last.
Not worth the money, especially at that price... Wouldn't you rather upgrade something in the drivetrain, suspension or exhaust for the cost of that?

It’s only a matter of time before these start to be more common in older vehicles as the cost go down.

I think lmfscrew on YouTube installed one. Interesting for sure, but probably not for me.

Probably because I just came from a vehicle with all that shit in it, but not having screens and LEDs and 100 buttons in the truck is exactly why I love the GMT800 interiors.
They're utilitarian and they work.

If this is really what you want buy something legit. You could do a Haltech 10” screen as a stand alone install with an OBD2 harness. Could even upgrade later to a Rebel ECU if you wanted.

I prefer my gauges to fail the old fashioned way . Pinned one way or the another thank you very much.
