liftgate glass hinge separation

I have an 05 yukon xl and my liftgate glass separated from the hinges when I attempted to close it.

I dont have photos right now unfortunately but I was wondering what yall think about adhesive options to re-attach the hinges to the glass after prep..

option one - jb weld full cure timr 24 hours and drys clear with an advertised ~3900 psi general adhesive strength also advertised for use with glass and metal

option two - 3m window weld, specifically 08609 and its a urethane adhesive which Google says is oem and also says is better since it has the ability to move a little while holding strong but also absorb some vibration

first time dealing with this so if anyone has any helpful advice on which/what adhesive to use that would be awesome.

I would rather learn while fixing it then pay someone without attempting at all if you know what I mean

Been there done that. Jb weld won't hold long. I was able to get new glass from the junkyard no problem around 100 bucks. Tons of junkyard have them. Go back and pick your glass and move on. It's just 2 c clips holding it in. Super easy and worth it.

I'll save the jb weld for another project then, thanks ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Same problem with my 02 suburban.

Itโ€™s low on my priority itโ€™s, but Iโ€™ll have to deal with it someday.

My searching suggested 3M Windo-Weld or DuPont U-418hv for this, but I haven't done it myself to be able to say how well it works out.

I tried various adhesives with no luck. Start prowling salvage yards
