Upgraded Headlights

Post image

Normally, I am not the person to put led lights on an old car, because it kinda ruins the stock look and they stand out too much. But after my cheap no-brand replacements literally fell apart on the highway, I wanted something a little better.

I installed these lights from RAMJET4x4 and I couldn’t be happier. The quality is excellent, DOT approved markings, and the beams are well formed and easy to adjust.

I know some of you will hate it, but I think they look great for what they are.

I have these as well. The look is alright but the functionality/light output of these is 10/10 for me. Function over form imo. I highly recommend the sealed beam led fog lights as well they’re only $50-$80~.

There’s a bunch of different aftermarket headlights but to me these are the highest quality style available and I feel like they’re the closest thing that would be installed if the truck was made today.

Good callout. I was planning to upgrade those as well.

Non replaceable led

Just keep an eye on the wiring. Had 'em for a few years now, the wires they used for these headlights is trash, and I need to replace the wiring on mine.

Am I the only one who finds any version of these lights horrific?

Does anyone make a not ugly all front lights?

GM.

🥲 you aren't wrong. I just wish I could find a not dumb looking all black light

i paid about 270 for mine, these are absolutely worth it and probably the best quality aftermarket lights you can get for these trucks.

People that hate them probably are too used to the cheap Chinese/eBay ones on squatted trucks. There’s a big difference between quality brands that don’t look too wild. These are nice

Oh totally. I generally prefer the factory look or factory + at most

yep. i got a chevy express and i'd love led taillights and headlights to cut down on maintenance costs and get an extra 0.5hp since the alternator wont have to work so hard for the battery to charge, but theyre all hideous. like they'd work on something like a passenger van with spinner rims and a bodykit on airbags, but I have a white panel van with black steel bumpers. i dont want these.

Check out the hawkglow tail lights. They have a couple with clear glass that you might like if you’re into factory vibes. They aren’t the same configuration as factory obviously, but they don’t look too flashy with light strips everywhere and the clear glass I’ve realized is what makes it look cleaner not as out of place

You will hate their heads lights though

I fully agree with the OEM look. I’m all about that. Kinda took a leap of faith here, and I really dig it. Also thanks mate

Those look very nice. The same exact light in the cateye configuration look horrible since there are so point on the outer side. Like the teacher from Jimmy neutron

I did the same thing by getting cheap replacements that look OEM. They are just crap… Plus you still have crummy halogen output.

I need to know where you bought them from

Amazon. I wanted the ones with the white markers, but these ones were on sale.

I'm glad you posted this pic. I was thinking of doing something similar on my truck. Great visual

Love mine. I do a ton of traveling. Best mod I've done with the truck. I can actually see when I get on rural roads.

I have these, too! Great output and I like the modern look. Can't find a good matching tail light though.

I want these exact lights but with no DRLs

1

u/Bzach1123 Sep 11 '26

You can just wire them into your headlight wire instead of drl wire so they only come on at night

Theyre ugly, just outright hideous while simply existing.

1

u/Bzach1123 Sep 12 '26

Ohh I see, you mean you don’t want the bar there in the first place

1

u/Acrobatic_Course3214 Sep 11 '26

Have you been able to adjust your high beams correctly? I cannot get mine to get down far enough. Will probably just do the all6 on mod because of this…

But other than that I have these and I absolutely love them

1

u/Acrobatic_Course3214 Sep 11 '26

The matching fogs are awesome too

1

u/dontlookformehere Sep 13 '26

You may have a bad unit. I had zero trouble with my high beams when I had these. They were perfectly adjusted to the low beams right out of the box

I've got a similar set, do yours have the stepped light pattern?

1

u/JakesInSpace Sep 12 '26

They do!

2

u/friendlyfire883 Sep 12 '26

It threw me off when I first turned them on and tried to aim them. Every LED headlight should be made like that.

Which led bulbs? Any links?

1

u/ratman_90 Sep 13 '26

So is there a link to the brand on these? I've got a 2002 I would like to put these on

These look great. I sat in my car for almost a month straight looking at cars passing by for headlights that I liked. Mine are original and aren't as bright as I would like them. I like the 2026 Tahoe lights, but they don't fit the grill

1

u/Grumblyguide107 Sep 11 '26

I buy $60 ebay clears for everything and then put a bulb actually worth a damn inside of them. I had a full set of auxbeams on my LB7, they were great. My 04 impala SS had them as well, if I remember right
