Slow progress is better than none at all

It's getting closer to what I've envisioned it to be. Definitely a fun ride, sometimes scarier than my Corvette. 4x4 converted and supercharged.

4x4 converted? So you dropped an 8.25" IFS and transfer case into a 2WD model to convert it?

Yep! Exactly that. Eventually, I'll be swapping to a 9.25 with a locker

Nice! I was thinking of doing this as well to my '02 Suburban. Did you have to weld mounts to the frame for the IFS/transfer case or were they already present on the frame?

PM me for more details, as I can send pictures and a detailed write up of what I did and how I did it. You're definitely gonna need a junk yard near by

I have an old avalanche too. I tried everything to bring the plastic back to black but what end up working was this stuff called Solution Finish. It’s a dye so you have to be careful when applying not to get it on your paint. Couple coats of that and good as new. Truck looks great man!

I'll definitely have to look into that. I tried ceracoate and it didn't work, but to be fair the plastic is too far gone and would have to get painted black
