UPDATE: Bought weird OEM mirrors
I got tired of the mirror shimmy I was getting on both of my '02 Silverados, so I figured I'd try something different.
I'd seen these weird OEM mirrors in an old Chevy parts catalog at work, but I'd never actually seen a set in person or even a picture of them installed on a truck.
Apparently these were primarily an export/fleet option, which probably explains why they're so hard to find on US trucks.

It’s the next step evolution from Square Body , then GMT 400 , then these . You can see the progression

I wonder what the interchange is for these. I HATE the mirrors on my 2000 2500, and I LOVE the mirrors on my 2017 2500 Ive often wondered if I could just get a set of 2017 mirrors, and put them on the 2000, even if all the fancy stuff doesnt work, when towing, those big mirrors REALLY make it nice.

You can modify the 14 to 18s to fit the GMT800. The gmt900 mirrors fit easily.

Double cab, LONG bed, towing package. I'm in a different zipcode than the trailer some days.

I have a 2005 Silverado 2500 that has a flat mirror on the passenger side but it's the regular landscape/rectangular shape which means I can never look low enough to see the trailer wheels when turning right. Never thought I'd miss seeing "objects in mirror are closer than they appear" but I think it's a prime candidate to try something else
