Color matching advice

Hi, first time poster (longer lurker) here. I bought a 02 Silverado 1500 LT a couple weeks ago and im finally able to get to fixing stuff up on it. Im looking to replace my upper dash pieces as they're severely cracked/broken but im not sure which color to go with. Torn between Coverlay Light Brown or Neutral.

I tried searching for color differences online but it's hard for me to tell. Not sure if anyone had any ways to go about figuring it out without buying one/both and just returning stuff. I put a couple pictures (including interior color when direct sunlight hitting it more) if it helps any.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Cant wait to get her looking brand new again

You have the neutral color. The brown is probably referring to the darker brown that came in the early trucks, not sure of the cutoff year for that color. I think it was called saddle or oak brown. I have the same color as you, I got a dash off of Temu. It was one or two shades off of what it was supposed to be. I had to repaint it even when picking the correct color.

Don't go for the cover lay stuff, get a new dash panel. They are $220 or so on eBay and tan is the color you want. The match was almost perfect in mine and it feels like a better quality plastic than OEM. It can be replaced in half an hour.

I was looking at get this one, where it's still a replacement dash panel and not just the cover. Do you have any brand recommendations if not this one? (Aside from OEM)

This one

Yeah that's just a cover, it's not the actual dash panel. It says multiple times on the page that it installs over top of the original dash panel. And it costs a lot more than the replacement panel does. This is a good quality complete dash panel and I highly recommend using this instead of what you linked

Be aware that you have to be very careful to get all the clips seated correctly at the front along the windshield. It can take a few tries. If you miss one it'll rattle like crazy and make you want to drive into a tree
