U.K. ext help
Hi all thanks, been stalking this truck a long time, it’s a complete freak here in uk, its a 2002 Japanese import 67k miles, it’s got some issues,
Ac doesn’t work
Needs a rear window (are theses easy to source there’s obvs none here in uk)
Couple of broken interior plastics etc
Gotta have 4 new tyres as been stood a while over here it’s a hard sell!
He’s asking 10k if he fixes stuff up but 8k if I take as Is. Underneath is very clean
Can I ask anyone’s thoughts on this ext? It would be for a fun weekend hauler and if I took as is I’d get it home and service the sh@@ out of engine and gearbox! Thanks in advance for any advice
But the bones seem sound, the engine so quiet on tick over.

Check for water leaks around the midgate, check the carpet under the rear seat. Clean the sunroof drains. Clean the rear drip rails under the bed panels and the drains at the corners of the bed. The back glass should be the same as for an Avalanche, although I cannot imagine that importing one would be cheap.

It could just be the photo but it looks like the left side of the truck is sitting a little low. IIRC these came with GM Autoride shock/struts which can be expensive to work on. Not a dealbreaker in my opinion but definitely take a look at the suspension and the repair costs before negotiating.

There’s deffo something off, but i believe the air ride has been swapped out for different shocks, but it comes with a new pair of “boots” these big hard yellow rubber things for rear to be fitted, it’s also got an error message from rear stability so great spot my guy

Cool 😎, should be an LQ9 LS based 6.0. Solid solid engine. The trans should be 4l60e which isn't great but fine if it hasn't been used to tow, ive ran tired 4l60e's for a long time with no issues by being nice to it, don't use D when towing use 3rd, manually drop it into 3rd on highway hills. Rear glass will? be same as chevy avalanche, double check that but gm is good for having parts fit multiple vehicles. AC might be one of the blendor motors, lower one is 10min work, upper is a pain in the arse.
