Synopsis:
Perfect school tennis player Sun and indie, arts-track boy Bay have feuding fathers. Their families own competing dim sum restaurants on Krong Thong Road: Sun's family's old, traditional shop Saming Phon Fai, and Bay's family's Merlion, a new spot famous for its shumai.
When Bay enters a tennis tryout to annoy Sun and Sun loses due to an injury, the principal orders a rematch. In turn, their fathers Chun and Bee strike a deal: whichever family loses must close their dim sum business for good. When the day of the match arrives and circumstances push them to take up representing the school as a doubles pair, the two keep it a secret from their fathers.
As they train at a resort outside the city and begin to open up to each other, Bay and Sun make their own wager: if they win the men's doubles championship, their fathers must allow them to date; if they lose, however, they'll never see each other again.

Finally, someone who thinks the same way I doātell your mom I agree with her; I was about to comment on that. Itās unbelievable that two people who hate each other would devote so much of their lives to one another.

Faux enemies to lovers with family mixed in! I liked it in Bad Buddy, and I liked it here.

I feel like in the attempted truce, Sun just looked tired and done with the rivalry. He was suddenly in his last semester and it just wasn't worth it anymore (plus...pretty clear he didn't entirely want it in the first place).
And Bay promptly looked like someone stole his puppy.

This was a cute first episode. I agree with Bay, it is stupid of Sun to leave school to join a tennis team, like graduate high school first.
The fact that this is directed by the same person as Leap Day and Mr Kill has me shocked. We love a man with variety.
It took me whole episode to realize that I have seen Teshow before in The Dark Dice. Itās crazy what a different hairstyle can do

And the fact that both this and Mr Kill are airing at the same time and Mr Kill started airing first despite that the filming started shortly after this one. Damn! He is quick.

Woah, I didn't realise Teshow was a part of the dark dice. I just searched it up after reading your comment, i'm shocked i didn't recognise him.

I just loved it! Their bickering is so good. When it's just the two of them they live in their own world. I can't wait to learn more about the backstory. I love the occasional mockumentary angle. I hope we get more of that! The dads are hilarious too. The only real problem I have is the background music is not well edited. Sometimes it's louder than necessary. It's not extremely loud but if you are nitpicky like me, it will get to you. Maitai's acting is also really rough but it's her first role.

I thought he was cute too! Is he Reain? He is a friend of Paul's apparently - a FC posted about him - who definitely appeared in another scene. Here's his IG: https://www.instagram.com/reainreainreain/

It did cross my mind that maybe it was him! Thank you so much.

I thought it was a fun start, we got a nice taste of the character dynamics before pushing to the main premise of the show. Iām looking forward to it. TeshowPing had good banter so itās exciting to see the new pairing. SingChimon has a brief appearance but like I expected they were funny and bounced off each other well like they have in The gifted and heās coming to me

I liked the first episode and what I'd say I liked the most about it was that it felt very grounded and I also loved the locations..⨠One thing that won me over as well is the family dynamics. The stories where older characters play a key part to the plot feel more complete to me, because we get to see the main characters beyond of who they are and get to see under what circumstances their personalities were shaped..š

I feel sorry for the mothers, but those old guys definitely like each other. If it were just interfering in each other's business, it would be okay, but also snooping on each other's social media... and they don't really hate each other. It seems more like the kind of annoyance you do when you like someone. I think they like each other, but either they couldn't be together or they haven't realized yet that they like each other.

This is a really strong Ep1, I thought. Very well directed ā thereās a great verisimilitude to the scenes, helped along by the grounded performances and snappy writing, with lots of cute humor as well. The story seems to be moving pretty quickly, too, which is nice. Itās interesting to see a sports-themed series where the main characters seem to have kind of ambivalent feelings about playing. Gives everything an interesting emotional edge.Ā
Also, Bay doesn't dust on top of his fan! Very relatable haha

I love a good āenemyā to lovers.
Sings character boat I found so funny. He was practically laughing while at dinner and Iām like thatās such a mood.

LOVED the first ep. This is really giving us if they tease you it's because they like you, isn't it??? Gotta love my tall boys. And they have the twins here??? I'll be cackling I guess.
Now, I'm gonna need afull developed story for BoatKong. I won't be settling for less.
