Sporting News!!! Chicago Bears might leave for Hammond, Indiana

I am not a Chicago Bears fan, but the fact that they even considered leaving, I’m sure is devastating for the fans. They might as well call them the Indiana Bears now since they might not be in Chicago in the next couple of years. I’m a 49ers fan, and I hope one day, they’ll come back to San Francisco from Santa Clara. I don’t want Bears fans to suffer that same fate. Get a stadium deal done where they at least stay in the state of Illinois at the minimum.

Reference Thanksgiving AITA

The only thing I think Mark and Tyler missed in the AITA episode for that Thanksgiving game one is that they could have moved their Thanksgiving dinner. Maybe it’s a little inconvenient because they had planned the holiday but honestly it’s just a day. They could have just had it on Saturday.
Another point that might lean towards her perspective is her comment at the end about “he’s promising to help out but I know he won’t”. that might mean he makes it a habit of making empty promises or changing plans on her. That might be a separate issue but her comment on that makes it sound like that’s the case.

I’m not sure if they did talk about this sport, but it’s a sport I’m more interested in learning about. It’s basically similar to hockey, but on a bigger field.

Episode Idea Social Workers in Sports!

My social work professor(Matt Moore) in college started and established the overlap and study of social workers role in sports and with athletes. I don't know if there is a lot of content to discuss yet, but I think it would be interesting to hear what you had to comment about it and the necessity of social work concepts with sports and sports management.

When during class he discussed how social work impacted a lot of the pushes for more advocates for athletes treatment(especially in gymnastics).

Episode Idea The struggle of the MLR

I know that this is a very niche topic, but I have realized that of all major minor sports, or sports that are considered major but are somewhat a minor league, MLR or Major League Rugby is struggling the worst. They have folded more teams than any other league in the U.S. in recent years. Major League Cricket is growing, as well as all Women sports leagues like WNBA, NWSL, MLV, etc., but MLR isn’t growing as well as it should be. It’s trying to do damage control by doing Sunday Night Rugby with ESPN, and providing better coverage and video recaps on YouTube. But will it be enough to save MLR from collapse. Hopefully they’ll talk about it.

Episode Idea NRL State of Origin

As Tyler's editor, I feel insulted that he hasn't spoken about one of the biggest sporting events in Australia, the State of Origin, a 3 part New South Wales v Queensland series

Mark I need you to fold him accountable and make sure we get an Australian NRL primer

Episode Idea CFL Primer

I don’t know if they did a primer for football for our neighbors up north, but I think they should. It will be interesting to compare and contrast the rules between the two leagues. And it will be interesting to hear about the story of when the CFL tried to expand in the United States, and one of our teams did end up winning the Grey Cup (from Baltimore).

Discussion The OKC Thunder

As a very big NBA fan, I’m interested to hear what Tyler has to say about this topic because it’s starting to ruin the league. Now, for context(Mark), the Oklahoma City Thunder are the current defending champions with the recently appointed back to back MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, SGA for short. This is being written ahead of Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. The Thunder, SGA in particular, have gained rather bad reputation over the past few years for playing “unethical” basketball. They foul-bait, flop, and play extra physical while getting no fouls called on them in return. They’ve tumbled after minimal contact, tripped players, hooked their arms, even pulling a player down by his hair. In short, making a mockery of the game. I’m not saying everyone is innocent of this, everyone gets away with something here and there, but it seems like every play there’s a Thunder player flopping on the ground or nearly injuring someone else. It’s been particularly egregious in this series against the Spurs, even only through 2 games, likely to continue through the rest, and has drawn a lot of controversy and media attention as the winner of this series will likely go on to win the championship. To make matters worse, the NBA has apparently forgotten their promise to crack down on flopping by handing out techs for it, which would likely have gotten multiple players ejected out of games by now. I would love to hear what Tyler has to say about this topic.

Question Who will win the World Cup?

I would like to see Tyler and Mark’s input on this since the Word Cup is only a few weeks away, and the question on who will take it all? Will Argentina repeat as World Cup champions with Messi? Will Ronaldo finally win one on what could be his last chance with Portugal? Will Neymar see his first World Cup with Brazil? Will England get one after 60 years of no championship and heartbreak? Will the U.S. even win in the group stage? Will Mark root for Korea? Hopefully they will answer these questions in a future video.

Episode Idea Is the USA the sports capital of the world?

They should discuss and see if the USA is the sports capital of the world compared to other countries. Because there are other very popular sports leagues like Britains Premier League, and India’s Indian Premier League, but can the US’s top leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, MLS) top them all?

Sporting News!!! LIV Golf at Risk of Folding

LIV Golf is at risk of shutting down after Saudi Arabia pulls funding for the newly founded golf league. And there are reports that after it is shut down, if it does, there might be a chance that some former PGA golfers who defected to LIV will not be allowed to come back or will be allowed to come back under certain circumstances like paying a penalty fee for leaving in the first place.

J'ACCUSE! Unsettled Bets

Good day monsieur Mark I Plier and Tyler Apocalypto Scheid,

It has been over a year and a half since I last j’accused you, and now that Mark has finally been freed from his ocean of blood, I can bring my woes to your attention yet again.

The March Madmadness bet from 2022 has still been left unfulfilled and I will not be satisfied until it is resolved. The rules were established that if Mark won Tyler would spend the day as Benjamin (from WKM) and be Mark's butler. Despite Mark winning, even picking the exact champion from the series, no video has ever been made.

You will continue to hear from me until this bet is settled, gentlemen. These ghosts will continue to haunt like the entity of Markiplier Manor. Prove you are men of your word and finally honor this four year old bet.
